Join Friends Trail Guide Mylasia Miklas for a hike exploring South Bay at the Tarlatt trailhead. Starting at the east end of 95th St, we will hike Parker Slough Trail through a cedar and spruce forest to wonderful views of south Willapa Bay. Returning, we will then hike out South Bay Trail along the slough to an overlook with expansive views of the bay. Raptors, swallows, waterfowl all use this area, and river otters are frequently visible along the slough.
Conditions: Total hiking distance is 1.5 miles through forest and 1 mile along the slough; all on good forest road conditions, with some moderately steep sections.
