To promote the preservation, awareness and appreciation of our environment, the Friends of Willapa National Wildlife Refuge offers scholarships to students pursuing careers in fish and wildlife management, environmental education, conservation and related fields.
This year there are three $1,000 scholarships available to qualifying students. These grants are available to graduating seniors in Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties. To apply, contact your high school's scholarship coordinator.
When was the Friends of Willapa National Wildlife Refuge incorporated?
The Friends group is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and was established in July 2000 to provide support and assistance to Refuge programs and to enhance awareness and appreciation of the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge.
